Cherries the fruit, cherry juice, cherry extracts, are all being touted in a new study as being excellent painkillers, especially for those with arthritis.  Cherries also seem to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Just give cherries several months to really cut back the pain; there appears to be a cumulative effect, and once you stop eating cherries, the pain will probably return until you remove whatever it is that is causing the pain.
