Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

by | GF Recipes, Holistic Healing, Recipes

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lay chunks of 100% grass-fed beef fat (rendered or suet) on a baking tray (like a cookie sheet, but with a 1-inch rim). Set in oven to melt fat.

Wash organic sweet potatoes about the size of one to two fists per serving. Cut off bad spots. Slice into fries about the size of a finger. Add to baking tray. Don’t overcrowd the baking tray, or the fries won’t get a nice crispy outside, and they’ll be difficult to work with. Use spatula to “toss” the fries in the melted fat. Sprinkle liberally with salt.

Place tray in oven. Flip/toss fries every 10 – 15 minutes until they are golden. If you find the fries are too mooshy before they get golden, next time, turn the heat up to 425 degrees.

These fries go very nicely with Beef Soup.
